Explore the “must-see’s” of Copenhagen with a private guide
On this tour we will explore the most significant parts of Copenhagen. We see both the medieval part of town, but also take advantage of having a bus at our disposal and see the things that are a little further out – like the Carlsberg brewery and the hippie community Christiania
We will explore the origins of Copenhagen, the era of the powerful kings, the reformation, the birth of democracy and not least the modern life as it takes place in this old city, be it architectural high-lights, hippies or new parts of town emerging
We will adjust the tour to fit your needs, but the tour could include:
Christiansborg – Danish parliament and birthplace of Copenhagen
Nyhavn – ‘New Harbour’, the 400 year idyllic canal with its colorful houses
Amalienborg – the Queen’s castle
The Marble Church
Kongens Nytorv – ‘King’s new square’ with the finest 18C buildings in Copenhagen
Church of our Lady – Copenhagen’s most important church and the birth of Lutheran reformation in Denmark
Christiania – the “hippie town” still surviving today after being occupied by several hundred flower power-hippies in 1971
Christianshavn – the “Little Amsterdam” quarter with canals and some of the oldest buildings in Copenhagen
The Little Mermaid
Town Hall and Town Hall square – the amazing romantic-Nordic architecture and the “folksy” center of Copenhagen surrounding it
Tivoli (driving past main entrance)
The price of this tour is USD 1140 or the equivalent in Euro or Danish kroner.
